Infants: Home, Notes and Issues, Fetal Development, Neonatology, Infant Mortality, NCHS, States' Data, Birthmothers, Ultrasound, Fetal Imaging,

I am collecting information to create a model of infant survival rates as a function of birth weight and gestational age. The common data seems to be by 500 gram intervals of birth weight, and single weeks of gestation (by any of a number of definitions) starting from about 18 weeks. The upper limits for birth weight and weeks seem to be 7500 grams and 45 weeks, respectively.

I plan to gather and organize the material on ultrasound and other measures of fetal development to compare with the weight by age data.  I have not seen any indication that aborted fetuses are weighed.  This would give a complementary measure of fetal weight as a function of gestational age for a rather large population of infants.  I have not started to gather data from other nations.
