ACTEW A Women's Training Community - What is Community-based Training? - Community-based training programs give women an almost complete set of job searching skills in a supportive environment. The question "What does each person need to go from where they are now to having a job?" is carefully considered and comprehensively addressed.  Community-based training programs provide high quality training which is culturally sensitive, learner-centred and cost effective. This model of adult education is collaborative, non-formal and practical. Both traditional and non-traditional training are provided, and programs are usually located outside of formal learning institutions. Programs often report 87% to 90% completion with 75% - 85% placement after the program into either further training or employment. - Actew Members List - Web Networks Community
